This paper studies the reference of Jianjiang landscape painting to woodcut language and the reasons for its formation.Based on the analysis of Jianjiang landscape paintings and Hui-style woodcut prints, this paper puts his landscape paintings into the background of the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty and the history of Chinese art development for investigation and exploration. This paper proves that the landscape paintings of the rivers and rivers draw on the language of Hui-style woodcut prints.During the turbulent period of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, during the change of dynasties,in the special regional environment of Huizhou, landscape paintings gradually became extraordinary and unique in the entire Chinese painting scene."The elegance and vulgarity of his artistic style has become a typical example, which is beyond the reach of contemporaries.Jian Jiang is famous for his paintings, leading the fashion, highly respected, and has a high reputation. He interacts with celebrities and giants in the world, and all values his teachers. There are many scholars, pioneering the Xin’an painting school, and its unique landscape painting style has formed an artistic style that is different from the mainstream of the authentic painting circle at that time, and its influence is quite prominent. No matter Xin’an Painting School, its painters, its inheritors,or its variants, the landscape painting characteristics are related to woodcut prints. This is a counter-evidence of Jianjiang’s use of Hui school woodcut print language as the argument of this article. The inheritance and development of art forms have undergone a certain evolution in different periods. The evolution of painting art forms in historical trends is viewed from a macro perspective, and the potential connection between art and social development under the background of the times is perceived from a micro perspective.Interpreting Jianjiang and his landscape paintings, comparing the characteristics of pen and ink,the layout of the chapters, and the imagery of the painting environment with the Hui-style woodcuts to show the similarities between different painting themes. At the same time,it is necessary to re-understand its landscape painting and its influence from different angles, and make an objective and comprehensive analysis, which has a positive enlightenment for the development of Chinese painting art.
