Zhu Yixin,a scholar in the late Qing Dynasty, studied under Yu Yue,a master of ancient Confucian classics, was well versed in Confucian classics, knew the Confucian family law of Han Dynasty and Song and Ming Dynasties, and applied his academic affairs. In the age when he lived,Confucianism faced a serious crisis.Internally,Confucianism was mired in triviality, which deviated from the purpose of helping the people from the world.Since Taoism and salty taste, the scholar-officials have been good at talking about the study of ram in the Western Han Dynasty, and the abuse is to dismiss the ancient and deserted classics.Externally,Confucianism is constantly challenged by western thoughts, and its value system is shaken. In this context,Zhu Yixin’s "the trend of all students" and "seeking the road of all saints and all" took on the great responsibility of saving the current situation, and put forward that "it is better to treat history than to treat classics" and pay attention to the integration of classics and historiography; It is advocated that both Han and Song studies should be adopted, with Sinology as the starting point and Song studies as the final destination, and the study of mind and nature should be regained.Although some attention has been paid to Zhu Yixin’s research in recent years,it has not attracted the attention of academic circles.Starting from Zhu Yixin’s Confucianism, this paper investigates Zhu Yixin’s life and his works such as "Answering Questions in Innocent Hall",and deeply explores Zhu Yixin’s concrete inheritance and innovation of traditional Confucian thoughts on spiritual cultivation. It is worth noting that he combines the spiritual cultivation thoughts of "holding courtesy" and "respecting respect" in Song and Ming Neo-Confucianism with his ethical and political theory. It also discusses an ideological confrontation between Zhu Yixin and Kang Youwei in the academic circles of the late Qing Dynasty, and clarifies the reasons for their criticism of Kang Youwei and other scholars in Ram.This paper grasps Zhu Yixin’s academic purpose of applying Confucian classics, and through textual research on the main contents of his Confucianism, then draws the conclusion that he pays attention to the combination of history and thought, seeks reason in matters, and combines physical and practical aspects, and returns "Tao" to plain daily use.At the same time, this trend of thought also conforms to the theoretical character of Qing Dynasty’s academic emphasis on practical learning and practicality, which shows that Zhu Yixin tried to integrate ancient and modern academics,Confucian classics,Confucianism and philosophy in his thoughts, and also showed that philosophy is the essence of the spirit of the times.
