On Chen Xianfa’s Poetic Language

The poet depends on language as language depends on the poet.Language shows different features under the pen of different poets,and most mature poets will form their own language style.Chen Xianfa,who came to the poetry circle in the 1990 s,showed a tendency to draw closer to the local nature in his series of poems "The Tree Will Not Break".Multiple factors,such as the presence of the local nature and the influence of different poetics at home and abroad,converging on the poet,reflected the power of the poet’s writing.Since the beginning of the new century,poets have gradually built their own theory of poetic language through different voices,found their own way of expression,and on this basis,gradually formed their own style of expression.This paper starts with Chen Xianfa’s poetic language,analyzes the poetic resources behind the poet’s poetic language,and further explores the poet’s poetic language proposition and language style.The main content of this paper is as follows:The first part discusses Chen Xianfa’s poetic language resources.The poet had rich reading experience during his college years.Therefore,in addition to getting closer to his native nature,the poet also kept absorbing western poetic art.A shift from the early romantic lyric expression composed and quiet,the poet link different poetics resources as a whole: the depth of the imagist writing of Oriental poetry like inheritance,ode and aboriginality zen argumentation of tongcheng school resources,such as the poet eclecticism,collection for its own resources of the language of poetry theory and creation practice.The first part discusses Chen Xianfa’s language proposition.After referring to his essay collection "notes from heichi ba" and the description of language in various poetry collections,it is concluded that his poetic language is characterized by individuality,vitality,authenticity and long,that is to say,poetic language is a creative experiment,and poetic language balances ethereality and sincerity.Chen Xianfa believes that the creative expression of personality makes the poetic language have vitality.As a group of poets,poetic language needs to have individual characteristics,which is manifested in the specific creation of an uneclectic way of expression to show the vitality of language.The depth of a poetic work,however,comes from the heart,from the power of the poet’s thinking,and must therefore be expressed through the power of the language of true feeling.The third part discusses the language style of Chen Xianfa’s poetry.On the basis of careful reading of the text,combined with the influence of his poetic poetics and the poet’s poetic language,this paper concludes that the language style of Chen Xianfa’s poetry is elegant and complicated,heavy and light.This chapter mainly starts with rhetoric and semantics from different angles.Among the poet’s works,the author believes that Chen Xianfa’s poems,due to the synchronic construction of the connection between the ancient and the modern,present a style of quaintness and modern interweaving,often with "original classics and new ideas","the ancient and modern dramatic expression" and other ways of expression.At the same time,there are also metaphors and collocation of words with unique personal characteristics in Chen Xianfa’s poems,which show the characteristics of melancholy,light and harmonious language.These expressions together condense the poet’s language world.
