| A comparative study of Chinese and Mongolian animal vocabulary is conducted to enrich Chinese and Mongolian vocabulary and avoid misunderstandings and communication disconnections.In order to explore the systematic and individual similarities and differences of Chinese and Mongolian vocabulary composed of "rat,cow and dog" as morphemes and to improve people’s cognitive understanding of Chinese and Mongolian animal vocabulary,this study adopts the methods of comparative analysis,statistical analysis,and linguistic network analysis,combining literature and survey data,and conducts a comprehensive comparative study from four perspectives,including emotional color,lexical nature,lexical meaning type,and metaphorical construction.A comprehensive comparative study was conducted from four perspectives.The study concluded that:The linguistic similarities between Chinese and Mongolian "rat" and "mouse" are as follows: less positive meanings,more neutral and derogatory meanings;more neutral words,more metaphorical metaphors,more original meanings;more derogatory meanings in idioms,more metaphors of appearance and action,more metaphorical meanings;different points: more derogatory meanings in Chinese colloquialisms,more neutral meanings in Mongolian colloquialisms.The linguistic similarities between the Chinese and Mongolian words are the same: the linguistic parts of the words are the same as those of the colloquial words;the differences: the idiomatic metaphorical way.The linguistic similarities between Chinese and Mongolian "dog" and "dog" are as follows: the words and idioms have the same emotional color and linguistic nature,and the colloquial words have the same meaning;the differences are that Mongolian has more positive meanings than Chinese.In the conceptual network of the three animal lexicons in China and Mongolia,the frequency of nouns in the object category is the highest,the frequency of verbs in the action category is the highest,and the frequency of adjectives in the appearance category is the highest;the neutral meaning is mostly the original meaning,the derogatory and positive meanings are primarily metaphorical,and the lexical metaphors of the three animals are mostly derogatory.Based on the similarities and differences in the meanings of the words "rat,cow,and dog" and their lexical networks,it is easy to teach basic words in language teaching and learning.In contrast,the differences in the concepts of idioms and colloquialisms due to the different emotional colors of words and metaphorical word types are not conducive to language and cultural exchange.Therefore,there should be more focus on the acceptability of lexical expressions and cultural differences in teaching and communication between the two countries. |
