Whether it is a local Chinese language class for foreign students or an overseas Confucius Institute classroom,the teaching materials for Chinese as a foreign language are one of the most important elements in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The quality of the teaching materials for foreigners directly determines the efficiency of Chinese teaching as a foreign language.At present,there are few comparative studies on local textbooks and overseas textbooks.This article selects the local textbook "Boya Chinese" and the overseas textbook "American Chinese" as the research objects,and uses quantitative research methods to compare and analyze the differences between the local textbooks and overseas textbooks,and clarify the national Distinguish the differences in teaching materials,and provide data support and suggestions for the research of teaching materials at home and abroad.Combining data analysis and questionnaire survey,it is finally concluded that the problems of "Boya Chinese" include: insufficient phrase relevance and practicality;some texts need to be adjusted in length and length;the overall text difficulty coefficient is slightly higher;lack of interest;none Teacher’s book.The problems of "American Chinese" include:insufficient word recurrence rate;too few new words in each lesson;slightly higher difficulty coefficient of the overall text(excessive use of too many words);unreasonable text sequence;too many English words;errors;Old subject matter;no teacher’s book.The two sets of teaching materials can be optimized and improved based on the conclusions of data analysis.Other revisions of Chinese textbooks as a foreign language can be analyzed with reference to the research methods of this article to provide reference ideas for the analysis of Chinese textbooks as a foreign language and promote the development of research on Chinese language textbooks as a foreign language.
