With the "the Belt and Road " initiative and Thailand 4.0 strategy,"Chinese +" has become a new mode of Sino Thai cooperation in education.In order to meet the needs of Thailand to introduce talents who are both skilled in high-speed rail technology and good at Chinese,Confucius Institute at Khon Kaen University in Thailand and the Thai Vocational and Technical College have jointly initiated the training program of "Chinese + High-speed Railway Vocational Technology".Since its launch in 2016,the program has become the flagship under the mode of "Chinese + vocational technology" with its excellent training effect.As a typical example of bringing forth the new through the old in Chinese teaching,the program shows important research value,yet there are few researches on it in the academic field.For the purpose of better understanding the development and characteristics of the program and enhance the influence of it,the author has conducted a survey on the training satisfaction of the students participating in the program through questionnaire and interview,focusing on the six dimensions of training content,training methods,training schedule,faculty,training conditions and training effect.With the help of data statistics software spss23.0,the author makes descriptive statistics and average difference analysis on the collected data,and obtains the following research results:(1)students’ overall satisfaction with the program is high,and the training is in a good state on the whole;(2)the average satisfaction of the six related dimensions is high,yet the satisfaction of the training schedule dimension is relatively low.According to the results of the questionnaire and the feedback of the interview,the author summarizes the highlights of the program as follows:(1)novel and appropriate training content;(2)highly competitive faculty;(3)modern and comfortable training conditions;(4)scientific and diverse training methods;(5)practical and remarkable training effect.Indeed,the implementation of the program is not perfect.There are still some problems to be improved in terms of the training duration and class arrangement,as well as the media language used by teachers in teaching.Therefore,in the end of the thesis,the author also puts forward some suggestions regarding these problems:(1)the training time and class arrangement should be adjusted scientifically and appropriately;(2)teachers should use the language that students are familiar with as the teaching medium.In addition,in the process of data collection,the author has also found that the program needs to pay attention to the collection and management of students’ information.The training schools of China and Thailand should effectively collect and manage the basic information of the students and program related documents,so as to summarize and reflect on the program later.Hopefully the research and analysis in this paper can provide some reference of the teaching and management work for Confucius Institute at Khon Kaen University,Banpai Vocational and Technical college and Wuhan Railway Vocational and technical college.Meanwhile,it is also expected to provide some enlightenment for future Chinese as a foreign language and vocational education,as well as the further cooperation between China and Thailand,so as to better spread Chinese culture and tell Chinese stories by letting the flower of Chinese bloom in all corners of the world.
