Child abduction cases occur every year, and statistics show that preschoolers up to the age of 6 are at high risk of being abducted.Child abduction is a very bad phenomenon in the society, which has a serious impact on the harmony and stability of the family and the society. This reminds us that on the one hand,we should improve the social environment,on the other hand,we should strengthen the education of children to resist abduction. In the anti-abduction education of children,it is found that although parents and teachers often teach children not to leave with people they do not know, most children are still easily taken away in reality. Therefore,we need to deeply reflect on the ability of children to resist abductions. We believe that there may be a " separation of cognition and behavior " between children’s cognition and behavioral ability to resist abductions, that is,when children are asked about resisting abductions, they can answer correctly, but when it comes to specific behaviors, children still easily leave with strangers.Since such children are easy to be ignored and taken away by strangers, this study aims to explore whether children will experience the phenomenon of " separation of cognition and behavior " in the resistance to abductions by combining cognitive and behavioral tests, and to investigate the development trend and psychological characteristics of children with the phenomenon of "separation of cognition and behavior ".This research is divided into two parts:Study 1 is to explore the development trend of " separation of cognition and behavior " phenomenon in children’s resistance to abduction,57 children aged 3 to 5 were tested for cognition and behavior of resistance to abduction. The cognition test used story telling method to measure children’s cognition of resisting abduction,The behavioral test is to observe and record children’s resistance to abductions under the simulated outdoor abductions; The study 2 is to explore the psychological characteristics of children with "eparation of cognition and behavior" in the process of resisting abduction.,The trait test phase was added after cognitive and behavioral tests of abduction resistance for 121 children aged 3 to 5,The five-task paradigm of theory of mind was used to test the children’s theory of mind, and the Flank Fish paradigm was used to test the inhibitory control ability of children. To sum up,the study 1 explored the development trend of children’s " separation of cognition and behavior " in resisting abduction, and the study 2 explored the characteristics of children with " separation of cognition and behavior " 。Therefore, three conclusions are drawn from the above two studies :(1)Children aged 3-5 generally have the phenomenon of "separation of cognition and behavior" in resisting abductions, and the main phenomenon is "Strong cognitive ability but weak behavioral ability",which shows that children are clearly aware that strangers are dangerous and should not follow the stranger leaves, but actual tests show that most toddlers are still easily taken away by abductors.(2)Children appear in resisting abduction "separation of cognition and behavior(Strong cognitive ability but weak behavioral ability)" phenomenon does not exist differences in gender, but there were significant differences in age,as the proportion of 3years old children appear originally "separation of cognition and behavior(Strong cognitive ability but weak behavioral ability)",most proportion is significantly higher than 5 years old and 4 year olds, and 4 years old children appear "separation of cognition and behavior(Strong cognitive ability but weak behavioral ability)" ratio is significantly higher than 5 years old children,as we age,the proportion of children appear " separation of cognition and behavior(Strong cognitive ability but weak behavioral ability)" gradually decline, shows for 3 to 5 years old children appear in resisting abduction "separation of cognition and behavior(Strong cognitive ability but weak behavioral ability)" age development trend is obvious.(3)The score of theory of mind of children with " unity of cognition and behavior(Both cognitive and behavioral abilities are strong)" was significantly higher than that of children with " separation of cognition and behavior(Strong cognitive ability but weak behavioral ability)".After controlling for age,the theory of mind has a predictive effect on whether children will have " separation of cognition and behavior(Strong cognitive ability but weak behavioral ability)" in resisting abductions, but the inhibitory control does not have a predictive effect.
