The Study On Words Repetition Rate In Boya Chinese

Textbooks are important resources for second language learners,and their quality has a great influence on their learning.Vocabulary plays an important role in teaching,and the repetition rate of new words is one of the important criteria to evaluate a textbook.At present,scholars believe that the higher the repetition rate of new words,the better the learning effect of students.Boya Chinese is one of the most authoritative textbooks for teaching Chinese as a second language,which is highly praised by the academic circle.Boya Chinese is a series of Chinese textbooks published by Peking University Press and edited by Li Xiaoqi.This set of books is divided into four levels of 9 books,including two elementary books,two quasi intermediate books,two intermediate two books and three advanced books.In this paper,the new words in the three volumes of Advanced Flying of Boya Chinese are selected as the research object.A detailed statistical analysis is made on the repetition rate of new words and the coverage rate of new new advanced words in new HSK version according to the prevision studies in order to find out the advantages and disadvantages of the textbooks and provide some feasible suggestions for the textbook designers and the textbook users.The first chapter introduces the following parts:the reason of selecting the title of this thesis,the purpose and significance of the research,the research theory,the development status of the research at home and abroad,the research object and the research method.The second chapter shows a statistical analysis based on the textbooks’ total amount of vocabulary,the amount of vocabulary,for each lesson per volume and the average growth rate of vocabulary.The third chapter shows an analysis on the total repetition rate of words and the number of words,in the repetition times of each word and analyzes the repetition situation of new words in texts and exercises,Analysis of the recurrence of common words.The fourth chapter analyzes the special situation of new words repetition,including the those with the highest repetition rate,those repeating only once and those repeating for six times.The fifth chapter analyzes the coverage of the new words in the advanced volume section of Boya Chinese and the new HSK outline.The sixth chapter puts forward some suggestions about vocabulary in the textbook compilation and some suggestions to the teachers on the basis of the previous research.The last part is the conclusion of this paper,which simply states the main research results of this paper,and makes a simple summary from two aspects of innovation and deficiency of this paper.
