| With the development of the society,English has become one of the most essential skills throughout the world.And it also has become an important tool for friendly exchanges between countries.English learning is mainly of listening,,speaking,reading and writing abilities to master and apply,and English reading plays an important role in learning English.For example,because of the reform of the middle school entrance examination in Luoyang in 2020,the proportion of total scores in reading has increased.We can find that improving the reading comprehension ability of junior high school students is one of the most important ways of English learning.Therefore,it is significant for junior high school students to master and improve the reading strategy.In order to cultivate the English reading strategies of junior high school students,this study is based on meta-cognitive strategy,schema theory and the compulsory education English curriculum standards(2011).By collecting and reading relevant literature,the researcher integrate the theory with practice.This study uses questionnaire survey,classroom experiment method and comparative analysis method.First of all,this study investigates the reading strategies of the current situation in junior high school.In addition,through the collection and analysis of the result of the teachers’ questionnaire survey,find out the existing problems in English teaching.Finally,through tests and questionnaires to test the effectiveness of training reading strategies,trying to cultivate and train reading strategies to improve the reading level of junior high school students.This study aims to achieve the following two purposes: Firstly,to understand the current situation of reading strategies and analyze the existing problems in junior high school.Secondly,put forward the cultivation strategies and test the effectiveness through experiments.For the first question: the current junior high school students do not have a good grasp of reading strategies.On the one hand,students are lack of reading methods,reading materials,interest and understanding of reading strategies.On the other hand,simple teaching mode,low emphasis on the cultivation of reading strategies and low requirements after-class are the reasons.For the second question,according to the following problems,this paper puts forward the corresponding cultivation strategies and applies these reading strategies to daily teaching.After the experiment,it is found that the students in the experimental class have improved the grades and use of reading strategies.Therefore,it proves the effectiveness of training junior high school students reading strategies.In the end,this study also puts forward solutions to deal with the problems.First of all,teachers should improve the traditional classroom teaching mode and highlight the depth of text reading comprehension.Second,teachers can stimulate students’ interest in reading and help students develop good reading habits.Third,teachers ought to adopt appropriate teaching methods to teach reading strategies. |
