An Analysis Of The Pushing,Pulling And Kneading In Lute Performance

This thesis studies the influence of Pipa’s pushing,pulling,chanting and kneading techniques on music performance.The left hand push-pull chanting and kneading technique is the characteristic technique of pipa,which plays a vital role in music processing,emotional expression and music style.By studying the different playing methods and sound effects of Pipa’s left hand push-pull singing and kneading techniques,the author summarizes and sorts out Pipa works of different styles,ages and regions.This paper analyzes the differences of music performance caused by different push-pull recitation and kneading techniques,and further studies the importance of push-pull recitation and kneading techniques in music performance.
