A Study On The Metaphorical Meaning And Rhetorical Narration Of Key Words In Protagonist

This paper takes the text of protagonist of the 10 th Mao Dun literature prize as the corpus,takes rhetoric as the theoretical basis,and uses quantitative and qualitative research methods,literature analysis and Cite Space visualization technology to carry out rhetoric research on protagonist.The first part introduces the research status,research significance,writing ideas,research methods and innovations of protagonist;The main part explores the role of key words’ metaphorical meaning and rhetorical narrative strategy in the construction of the whole text,and finally summarizes the main content of this paper.The analysis of the metaphorical meaning of key words is a deep exploration of the three words running through the main idea of the full text,namely "protagonist","memory of qin’e" and "Qin opera".The first key word "protagonist" symbolizes honor and suffering.It expresses the idea that how much honor a person can enjoy,how much suffering he has to bear.At the same time,it conveys the theme that there is no eternal protagonist.The second key word "Yi qin’e" symbolizes the soul of Qinling opera.The author analyzes the combination of the spirit of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism in traditional Chinese culture and Qin opera in the main character’s memory of qin’e.The third key word "Qinqiang" metaphors the spirit of craftsmanship hidden in Qinqiang people.At the same time,Qinqiang symbolizes the traditional art of the Chinese nation.The ups and downs of Qinqiang also represent the endless life force of traditional Chinese art.Rhetorical narrative strategies are explained in three parts: intertextual rhetorical narrative,temporal rhetorical narrative and spatial rhetorical narrative.This paper analyzes the intertextual narrative of the text from the aspects of vocabulary,structure,style and the intertextual rhetorical narrative of characters’ identity symbols,and then explains the function of the intertextual rhetorical narrative of protagonist.The narrative of time rhetoric is analyzed from the two aspects of individual time rhetoric and social time rhetoric to explore the role of the narrative of time rhetoric in shaping the characters and expressing the theme in the whole text.The space rhetoric narrative of the novel is mainly analyzed from the real space scene and the illusory hell space scene in real life,which reflects the flexibility of space conversion and the vastness of space description.Finally,the paper briefly summarizes the full text,explains the logical relationship between the metaphorical meaning of key words and the rhetorical narrative,and points out the shortcomings of the research.
