The Expression And Application Of The Beauty Of Shadows In Contemporary Lacquer Art

The view of "the beauty of the shadow" comes from Tanizaki Junichiro’s book "The Praise of the Shadow".This view focuses on Japanese traditional culture,expresses a unique aesthetic concept,and has a profound impact on the development of Japanese traditional crafts,especially lacquer art creation.Lacquer art was originally a treasure in traditional Chinese craftsmanship,but with the changes of the times,the lacquer art that has gone through thousands of years has gradually faded out of public view.On the other hand,neighboring Japan,which is influenced by the concept of "the beauty of shadows",shines in the contemporary lacquer art stage.The main purpose of this thesis is to study the expression and application of "the beauty of shadows" in contemporary lacquer art creation.It combines the literature research method,case study method and design practice method,starting from the "beauty of shadows",focusing on observing the "beauty of shadows" "The decorative expression of the materials,colors and textures of lacquer art works,explore the natural beauty,craftsmanship and artistic beauty of the "beauty of shadows" in contemporary lacquer art,and then explore the "beauty of shadows" in contemporary lacquer art.The application principle of simple and simple in the creation,the application method in the aspects of color,texture and space creation,and the practical significance of applying the "beauty of shadow" to contemporary lacquer art creation,and finally combine the "beauty of shadow" with lacquer art creation.Practice exploration and complete the series of graduation works.By organically combining the "beauty of shadow" with contemporary lacquer art,Chinese contemporary lacquer art can show the characteristics of the times and the nation,and help Chinese lacquer art regain its brilliance.I hope this investigation can better inherit and carry forward my country’s excellent traditional culture,and promote Chinese lacquer art to shine on the international art stage.
