In a new era,audio-visual language has become more and more diversified in the art creation of television documentary and there are numerous ways to perform it.The presentation of the audio-visual language from multiaspect maintains the authenticity of the television documentary while adding more flavour to activate the empathy capacity of the public.This paper takes my graduation work The sound of Qiqin,the soul of Zibo as an example,exploring functions of the audio-visual language in the television documentary.The authenticity enhances the objectivity of the audio-visual language.In the process of art creation,the logical use of picture and sound is a significant approach to enrich the audio-visual language.However,the effect of that gives more choices to the producer.
