As a famous writer in contemporary literary world,Jia Pingwa’s works show distinct characteristics of the times and individual style, and paying attention to and thinking about the changing times and people’s destiny is an important theme of his creation.Since 1990 s,Jia Pingwa has created a large number of novels about body narration, which has aroused widespread concern in society, among which Runined City(1993),Qin Opera(2005)and Broken wings(2016)are representative works. These novels not only create distinct characters, but also reflect the stage characteristics of Jia Pingwa’s body writing.Generally speaking, the main focus of Jia Pingwa’s body writing is to seek a way out to solve the spiritual dilemma of modern people. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, the thesis is divided into four chapters:The first chapter is the investigation of the background and personal factors of Jia Pingwa’s body writing. After the discourse of body theory goes deep into modern life,on the one hand,it affects people’s daily life and brings about the liberation of the body;On the one hand,it infiltrates into writers and critics, and introduces body theory into literary creation and literary criticism.Through the consideration of his personal factors,it is considered that Jia Pingwa’s personal life experience and his concept of body writing are the important basis for studying Jia Pingwa’s body writing, including disease, power, ethics and so on.The second chapter mainly analyzes the artistic presentation of Jia Pingwa’s body writing. This paper discusses the body writing in Runined City,Qin Opera and Broken wings from the perspectives of power, economy and ethics,This paper reveals the body bullying of the powerful and the body dilemma of the powerless under the discourse of power, examines the enslaved body and the actively alienated body in the era of economic change, and holds that the body in his works from the perspective of ethical relations is deformed and has the characteristics of phallus centralism. The third chapter mainly discusses the narrative characteristics of Jia Pingwa’s body writing.Jia Pingwa used cultural metaphor, moral metaphor and social metaphor to express the writer’s vigilance and concern for society and people around three aspects: disease, desire and sorrow;Through sexual description,it shows the body writing of desire madness;Creating a sad and sad body writing atmosphere reveals the stabbing pain and care behind body writing. The fourth chapter mainly discusses the achievements and shortcomings of Jia Pingwa’s body writing. In terms of achievements,it is considered that his body writing broadens the narrative space of the novel, points out the dilemma of urban and rural problems in social changes, and at the same time inherits the May Fourth Spirit in cultural value; From the perspective of literary history,Jia Pingwa’s unique and delicate body expression is a connecting link between the preceding and the following in literary history. Its shortcomings are mainly manifested in Jia Pingwa’s body writing’s suppression of female discourse based on the perspective of male chauvinism, and the grasp of sexual language scale in his body writing needs to be considered.
