Study On Bi Feiyu’s Country Novels

Bi Feiyu is an influential contemporary writer.His novels have a wide range of subjects and rich content,showing a unique literary charm.Among Bi Feiyu’s novels,rural novels occupy a very important position both in terms of quantity and quality.His series of rural novels,such as "White Night","Remembering Sister Xiaoqing","Wangjiazhuang on Earth" "Corn","Plain",etc.,have had a great influence,and they can be regarded as an important part of contemporary literary creation in rural literature.This thesis takes Bi Feiyu’s country novels as the research object,and firstly studies the origin of Bi Feiyu’s country novels.There is a constant connection between the writer’s literary creation and his unique growth experience.This thesis analyzes the influence of Bi Feiyu’s growth experience on the creation of rural novels from four aspects,including: the thin family background,the wandering experience in the countryside during childhood,the spiritual trauma he suffered during the "Cultural Revolution",and the thought of enlightenment during college.Secondly,this thesis studies the ideological theme of Bi Feiyu’s country novels.Humanity,power,and destiny are the three key points that Bi Feiyu is working hard to explore.In the creation of rural novels,Bi Feiyu revealed and criticized the gloomy human nature,conducted a deep insight into the alienation of power,and thought and explored the destiny of individuals with his profound humanistic care.The third is the study of the writing manner of Bi Feiyu’s country novels.This thesis specifically analyzes how Bi Feiyu uses his unique writing method to express the theme of the novel from four aspects: the creation of individualized characters,the flexible selection of narrative perspectives,the creation of a tragic atmosphere,and the autobiographical writing techniques.Finally,it is an evaluation of the creative significance of Bi Feiyu’s country novels.Bi Feiyu’s rural novels inherited the creative tradition of rural novels since the May Fourth Movement,and opened up and developed this tradition with his daily rural writing.The constant exploration and discovery of the value connotation of "human" is also an important meaning of Bi Feiyu’s rural novel creation.
