| Since the 21 st century,with the progress of the economic level,the improvement of People’s life,the content of festival activities is more and more rich,under the leadership of government departments,more and more high-level,large-scale,wide-ranging events are accepted by the public.The festival activities are characterized by large scale,high degree of attention,close integration with the tourism industry,and the ability to quickly attract different groups of tourists from all over the world,however,there are some problems,such as the lack of innovation in the theme of the festival,the imperfect on-the-spot service guide,the lag in the regulation and control of the unexpected situation,and the traffic jam around the scenic spot.Festival events themselves are cultural activities.If we only seek economic benefits but neglect to excavate their traditional cultural connotation,this will lead to waste of government resources,lower public satisfaction,and the brand of festival events can not be promoted,will be further and further away from the sustainable development of the festival activities.Therefore,it is very important to study how to hold the festival successfully,how to attract more potential tourists,how to enhance the experience of tourists participating in the festival,how to promote the regional economy and how to promote the city brand.Through the methods of literature research,Grounded Theory Research and questionnaire survey,this paper combines festival activities with project success theory,and finds out the critical success factors of festival events.The main research step of this paper is to identify the main category by grounded theory,and then combine the identified category and the critical success factors of the project.The positive analysis part first carries on the preliminary investigation to carry on the verification to the index,makes it suitable for the section matter research,then officially issues the questionnaire and withdraws the questionnaire,the reliability,validity and factor analysis of the questionnaire were carried out to get the critical success factors,and these factors were analyzed and discussed in order to provide suggestions for the success of the program.Based on the research results of grounded theory,four categories are identified,which are: environmental factors influence the success of the festival project,sponsor factors influence the success of the project,project itself factors influence the success of the project,site factors influence the success of the project.The results of the empirical analysis show that the field service,the infrastructure,the sponsor’s ability to attract social capital,the innovation of the project,the economic benefit of the project,the natural environment and the policy of the project are all the critical factors that influence the success of the festival.Based on the above research results,in order to develop the festival project successfully,this paper puts forward the following suggestions: The festival project site should pay attention to the tourists experience,improve the infrastructure and service level;The organizers of festival events should strengthen cooperation with social capital,absorb more successful experiences of festival events,and improve the ability of holding festival events The government should create a good business environment and establish a good image of the festival. |
