The Songs of Chu had far-reaching impact on scholars and their literary creation in the Jin Dynasty.Scholars accepted Qu Yuan in their creative practice and wrote the Songs of Chu.The literature of the Jin Dynasty was influenced by the Songs of Chu in terms of literary themes, language images and artistic styles. This paper focuses on the exploration of the influence of the Songs of Chu on the literary creation of the Jin Dynasty, generalizes the acceptance of the Songs of Chu by scholars, probes into the causes of the acceptance of the Songs of Chu by scholars in the Jin Dynasty in combination with the historical background, and makes a case study of the key recipients of the Songs of Chu.The literature of Sao style in Jin Dynasty inherits the style of Jian’an Sao style, which pays attention to lyricism and individuality, and develops in subject matter. The scholars in the Jin Dynasty valued Qu Yuan’s talent, integrated his personal residence in the comments, and deeply recognized the tragedy of Qu Yuan’s life when he did not encounter it.From the perspective of literature and history, this paper discusses the formation of the influence of the Songs of Chu on the scholars in the Jin Dynasty from three aspects:the Political Bureau and the evolution of the style of scholars, academic thought and geographical influence, especially the influence of the style of scholars’ talk and regional factors on the acceptance of Chu Ci.The scholars who were greatly influenced by Chu literature in the Western Jin Dynasty moved from Wu to Luo,and they lived in the south in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. The mountains and rivers of Chu were prosperous. The music of Chu and the sad rhyme of Chu songs were in accordance with the beauty fashion of sadness. The custom of memorial ceremony and commemoration of Qu Yuan in Chu would undoubtedly affect the acceptance of the Songs of Chu by the scholars in the Jin Dynasty. In a word, the Jin people affirmed Qu Yuan’s personality and talent and regarded chanting the Songs of Chu as the fashion of famous scholars. However,in practice, they did not necessarily adopt the method of standing on their own feet. They felt that the two Jin scholars who were difficult to advance in official career and the difficulty of meeting the monarch and the minister,or were floating with the world, making waves in their mud,or living in seclusion, admiring the immortals, and paying more attention to personal fate than national destiny. In this case, the secularization of Sao literature in Jin Dynasty deviated from the original creative spirit and critical spirit of the Songs of Chu to a certain extent. The literary creation of Lu Yun,Guo Pu,Tao Yuanming, etc.is closely related to Qu Yuan and his literary works. They are the representatives of the literary acceptance of the Songs of Chu in the Jin Dynasty and present distinct characteristics of the times and individual colors. |
