Shenzhou,now Shenzhou City of Hebei Province,was firstly named as "Shenzhou" in the 16 th year of Kaihuang in Sui Dynasty(596),and was upgraded from Shenzhou to Zhili Shenzhou,directly under the jurisdictionof the capital in the 2nd year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty(1724),where it was governed four counties called Shenzhou,Wuqiang,Raoyang and Anping.During the reign of Tongzhi,Li Hongzhang revised The Jifu annals,which made the interview materials from all over the world known that Wu Rulun of Shenzhou revised the local chronicles of Shenzhou by the way.In the 26 th year of Guangxu(1900),The local chronicles of Shenzhou was completed and it’s the first state general record with rich content,high quality and wide acclaim in Zhili Shenzhou,and has great literature value.In this paper,the characteristics,advantages and disadvantages of Shenzhou are comprehensively combed,and its literature value is analyzed,so as to provide readable data for the study of geographical and cultural customs in Shenzhou area.In this paper,The local chronicles of Shenzhou,created by Wu Rulun and engraved by Wenrui Academy in the 26 th year of Guangxu,is taken as the research object.On the basis of collecting editions and reading through the full text of The local chronicles of Shenzhou,this paper does some proofreading work on The local chronicles of Shenzhou and reads articles repeatedly,so as to Achieve accurate punctuation and correct understanding.On the basis of clarifying the meaning of The local chronicles of Shenzhou,this paper first combs the compilation of The local chronicles of Shenzhou,then to introduces Wu Rulun’s personal experience and the compilation of local chronicles.Because the compilation time of The local chronicles of Shenzhou has gone through 30 years,the author’s personal ideological changes and the background of the late Qing Dynasty will inevitably have an impact on the compilation of The local chronicles of Shenzhou.Distinguish the cited materials of The local chronicles of Shenzhou,including the direct collection of local chronicles in the previous generation of Shenzhou,and the reference of other classical,historical,philosophical works,and belles-lettres.Then,the paper discusses and analysis the content and style of The local chronicles of Shenzhou,and summarizes the characteristics of the compilation of The local chronicles of Shenzhou and the author’s compilation principles,and compares it with other local chronicles.In addition,aiming at the annotation appearing in The local chronicles of Shenzhou and the expression of "jinan" with explanatory functionality in the "property",This paper summarizes its category and function.Finally,the paper summarizes the errors and deficiencies in the documental value,content and layout.
