| Emotional regulation strategies play an important role in the social adaptation of primary school students.As the first teacher of the children,parents will influence the development of emotional regulation strategies of primary school students.The study investigates the relationship between the parental meta-emotional concept,emotional expression and emotional regulation strategies of primary school students from the perspective of parental emotional socialization.The first study uses Parental Meta-emotional Concept Scale;Parental Emotional Expression Questionnaire and the Children’s and Adolescents’ Emotional Regulation Strategies Questionnaire,takes 322 grades 4-6 primary school students and their parents in Baoding City,Hebei Province,and uses SPSS.23 to conduct statistical analysis on the collected data.The second study selects 11 primary school students and 12 parents for semi-structured interviews,and uses Nvivo.11 to code and analyze the interview results.The main results are as follows:(1)There is no significant difference in emotional regulation strategies of primary school students in the demographic variables.There are significant differences in mothers’ meta-emotional concepts in their own educational background,age and children type.There are significant differences in fathers’ meta-emotional concept in children’s gender,educational backgr ound and age.(2)Parents’ meta-emotional concepts and emotional expression are closely related to the emotional regulation strategies of primary school students.Fathers’ emotional teaching philosophy and positive emotional expression are significantly related to the cognitive reappraisal strategies of primary school students.Mothers’ philosophy of emotional exclusion,emotional disorder and emotional non-interference are all significantly related to the negative expression inhibition and regulation strategies of primary school students.(3)Fathers’ emotional teaching has a predictive effect on the emotional regulation strategies of primary school students through their positive emotional expressions.In addition to directly predicting the expression inhibition strategies of primary school students,mothers’ emotional exclusion can also influence the expression inhibition strategies of primary school students through their negative emotional expression.(4)The influence of parents’ meta-emotional concepts and emotional expressions on the emotional regulation strategies of primary school students is further verified in the semi-structured interview study.According to the above research results,the study come up with specific suggestions for improving parents’ correct emotional concepts,so as to help primary school students to get appropriate help during the development of emotional regulation strategies. |
