Research On Julu And Cizhou Kiln In The Northern Song Dynasty

The Northern Song Dynasty was an important period for the development of Cizhou kilns.During this period,the various porcelain kilns in the northern region learned from each other and improved their technical strength and output,forming a trend of vigorous development.At the same time,Julu is located in the central area of Hebei,with convenient water and land transportation.Julu has undertaken the function of the transshipment and sales of porcelain in Hebei,and a large number of Cizhou kiln porcelains have been shipped to all parts of the country by Julu.In the second year of Daguan in the Northern Song Dynasty,the Yellow River flooded and flooded the whole city of Julu.Historic sites and cultural relics were buried under the loess,forming a large accumulation of cultural relics.Until the 1920 s,due to the drought,the underground cultural relics came to the sky,which immediately attracted the attention of scholars and antique dealers from all over the world.The crowd in Julu City also triggered the largest antique reselling case in modern times,and a large number of cultural relics were lost overseas,causing a huge Loss of cultural resources.Among the cultural relics unearthed in Julu in modern times,some of the porcelain was relatively coarse,decorated with white ground and black flowers.At the same time,it has a strong rustic flavor and a large number of unearthed ones.They were called "Fending" and "Tuding" by the time.In the 1930 s,this type of porcelain was named "Cizhou Kiln".As the site where Cizhou kiln porcelain was unearthed for the first time in China,Julu has attracted the attention of scholars at home and abroad,and extensive and in-depth research on Cizhou kiln began.Cizhou Kiln Porcelain originated from porcelain kiln factories centered on Guantai Town and Pengcheng Town,spreading along the river,and burning for thousands of years.Porcelain made from local materials,absorbed the porcelain craftsmanship and technology of Xing kiln and Ding kiln,and at the same time learned from each other kiln mouths in Hebei area,gradually formed the unique Cizhou kiln type porcelain,so as to affect Hebei,The development of folk kilns in Shanxi,Inner Mongolia and other regions.Cizhou kiln porcelain has a simple rustic flavor,and at the same time,the decoration techniques are diverse,and the simple and soft decorations are deeply loved by the times.There are many types of porcelain unearthed in Julu,most of which are of Cizhou kiln type,ranging from the Northern Song Dynasty to the Jin Dynasty.Through the analysis of the porcelain unearthed in Julu,we can understand the development of Cizhou kilns from small to large in the Song and Jin dynasties.It can also be compared with the Xing kilns and Ding kilns in Hebei to understand the overall development trend of the ceramic industry in Hebei in the Song Dynasty.At the same time,Julu Songcheng is a cultural heritage in the Northern Song Dynasty.The study of Julu Songcheng has important research significance for studying the scale of county cities and social life in the Northern Song Dynasty.
