Lijia Jichang,a poet of poetry in the late Qing Dynasty, wrote Zuo An’s Ci Hua,which was included in Tang Guizhuang’s Ci Hua Series.Lijia Jichang’s view of Ci is relatively scattered, which not only discusses the style and method of Ci,but also comments on the Ci writers and poems.Although it is not clear which school of Ci studies he follows,Lijia Jichang’s Ci studies mostly follow from his predecessors, and many contents of his Ci poems can be traced directly to the source, indicating his tendency of Ci studies. The influence of the development of Ci studies can also be seen from such a Ci poet who is outside the mainstream Ci Circle.Lijia Jichang always emphasized that Ci is an independent style, which is different from poetry and song.Ci must be elegant and graceful.Style empty, meaning through. The author thinks that Ci has its own unique aesthetics in system, content, temperament and practice,so it is necessary to strictly follow the lexical method, but not to lose the obscure, emphasizing the natural aesthetic sense.Lijia Jichang is a late poet, but there are a lot of his poems. His works are closely related to daily life.Although there are no exemplary works, his descriptions and depictions all come from true feelings.Lijia Jichang combined his creation with theory, which helped to form his own view of Ci learning. On the whole,Lijia Jichang still follows the traditional concept of Ci and has a comprehensive understanding of Ci.Although he did not form a clear personal point of view,he did not copy the theories of mainstream Ci schools such as West Zhejiang Ci School and Changzhou Ci School, but grope for them in continuous learning, which reflected the prevailing trend of Ci in the Ci Circle of the late Qing Dynasty and the living state of a little-known Ci scholar like him.
