China.Valuable legacy.The academic research on the legends of the Yang family is quite fruitful,mainly focusing on historical textual research and literary interpretation,and less attention to the living inheritance of legends,as well as the research on the relationship between legends and the people and villages in the context of life and practice.In fact,the Yang family spread the legend widely in northern rural society,affecting the daily lives of the people.Lutijian Village,located in Zaolin Town,Xinzhou City,Shanxi Province,is a northern clan village dominated by Yang residents.There is Yang Zhongwu Temple dedicated to the famous Northern Song Dynasty general Yang Ye in the village.Eighty percent of the villagers are named Yang.Called himself a descendant of the Yang family.The Yang family used legends as a kind of heroic family legends to be active in Lutijian Village,which influenced the construction of the Yang clan and became an important link to condense clan power and strengthen clan identity.This article explores how the Yang family’s clan-oriented legend affects the Yang family’s clan village,and places the collected field data on the Yang family’s settlement history memory,ancestral lineage recognition,and clan spiritual inheritance to analyze and demonstrate the bearing The role of the legend of local people’s historical memory in the construction of clan.The full text is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction,which mainly includes the purpose and significance of the research,a review of academic history related to legends and the Yang family,an introduction to the selected fields in this article,and four aspects of research methods and supporting materials.Chapter One,the generation context of the legend of Yang Jiajiang in Lutijian Village,mainly analyzes the historical context of the legend and the local context of its spread.In the first section,from the ethnic conflicts and wars in the Song Dynasty,the Yang family discusses the changes and development of the story in different eras in two aspects,and analyzes the historical and cultural context of the legend of the Yang family in Lucun.The second section discusses the local context in which legends are spread,pointing out that Daizhou’s important historical geographical location has laid a spatial foundation for the spread of legends,and the clan culture that continues to this day is the local context in which the Yang family inherits legends dynamically.The second chapter takes the deer hoof stone and its related legends as the research object,and analyzes the role of legends in the memory of the clan settlement and the origin of the village.The legend of deer hoof stone is deliberately constructed by the Yang clan to interpret the cultural reality of the clan’s settlement history,and has strong clan characteristics.This chapter starts from the oral text of the legend,the memory of genealogy,and the derivative day.On the basis of summarizing the content and viewpoints of the previous chapters,the conclusion part discusses the problem of the benign interaction between legend and clan.The article focuses on the research perspective and the temporal and spatial coordinates of the research object in the living space of contemporary clan villages.Based on the first-hand live data collected from many field investigations,the article explores the relationship between the Yang family’s legends in contemporary and clan culture interaction.As the cultural knowledge shared by the clan,the legend of the Yang family in Lutijian Village was generated in a specific context,and it has become a spiritual symbol of the clan.On the one hand,legends play an important constructive role in tracing the origin history of clan members,constructing genealogy and lineage,and strengthening clan identity;on the other hand,stable family groups also give the legends the motivation to continue to speak,making legends more stable.
