The Ethical Analysis Of Urban Feminine Public Space

With the development of Economy and culture,women’s self-consciousness is gradually awakened.The changes and progresses of the society make women walk out from the originally traditional and relatively private family spaces to those different life scenes and public spaces to play multiple roles.Because of the appearance of women,they have formed their ”presence” in all kinds of places.Thus,making their bodies and identities get double presentation.It can be said that the presence of women let the urban public space bloom out a new vitality.This article thinks that the principles of town planning seldom take the female as the reference of the space design so that let the female often gets into the inconvenient predicament in those kinds of spaces.It is necessary to find appropriate solutions in the process of technical design to help women use and experience the urban public spaces better.Before answering this question,we need to clarify the basic concepts of city,public space,female space and the relationships between them.Then,it explains the necessity of the existence in theory of urban female public spaces from the perspective of philosophy of technology.This paper discusses the dual existence of women and the dual nature of technology in public space,and forms the theoretical results of technology design to satisfy the multi-level needs of women,which embodies the unity of value pursuit and ethical care.After reflecting on the shortcomings of the existing urban women’s public spaces,this paper also gives some theoretical suggestions.At the same time,it also puts forward to the possible ethical conceptions of the future spaces.The author thinks that good public spaces for urban women should embed the care for women into the interior of technology to form regulations.Urban Women’s public spaces need to take into account how technology will guide people to develop and follow good moral habits in their future scenarios when they have been designed from the very beginning of their constructions.The result of technical value evaluation should be taken as the ideal design goal,which would make more reliable plans for the constructions of urban women’s public spaces.
