The Han Dynasty letter slips unearthed in Hexi,Gansu Province are mainly distributed in Dunhuang and Juyan areas.119 letters were unearthed in Dunhuang and387 in Juyan.Among them,four batches of unearthed bamboo slips,including the the Xuanquan wooden slips,the New of Juyanxin wooden slips,are all stored in the Gansu wooden slips museum.They are packed in glass tubes and sealed in paraffin.The Han Dynasty letter slips in Hexi have obvious characteristics of form and format.The etiquette of letter is reflected in two aspects: writing and layout.According to the text information,these materials can be divided into three aspects:clothing and diet,working conditions and economic activities.It reflects the types and sources of clothing and food,daily management and official status of frontier fortress,loan goods,debt and employment.The feelings expressed in letters mainly include daily communication and feelings of home and country-mutual greetings,social exchanges,heavy missing and worry about the cruel war environment.Based on the analysis of the origin,preservation,shape,writing features and contents of the letters in Hexi Han Dynasty,we have a further understanding of the cultural relic characteristics and historical value of this kind of cultural relics. |
