Primary school students are at the golden age of learning English.One of the important tasks of primary school English teaching is to cultivate students’ oral ability.However,in the elementary education stage in our country,the effect of students’ oral English learning is not ideal,and the phenomenon of “dumb English” is common.How to improve the efficiency and interest of primary school students’ oral English learning has become a problem worthy of consideration and exploration.As an online homework platform,17 zuoye platform has attracted many users’ and researchers’ attention with its rich content and instant feedback.The purpose of this action research is to improve primary school students’ oral English by using the online homework platform.Based on the Output Hypothesis and Constructivism,this study mainly discusses on the effect of oral homework based on 17 zuoye platform on students’ oral English achievements and the attitudes students have towards the English oral homework based on 17 zuoye platform.The author conducted two cycles of action research to modify and improve the process of primary school students’ oral English learning assisted by the online homework platform,17 zuoye platform.Each cycle of action research consists of four steps: plan,action,observation,and reflection.The participants of this study were 27 students from a class of Grade 5 in Xianlong School of Liangdang County,Longnan City,Gansu Province.Before the action research,the author made an overall action plan and the participants received an oral English test.During the 13 weeks’ action research,the author insisted on assigning the oral homework and keeping the teaching journal every week to summarize and reflect on the problems and changes of students’ oral English.After the first-cycle action research,several participants were randomly selected by the author for the mid-term interview.The aim of it was to figure out the problems in the first-cycle action research and make timely adjustments to the action plan.After the action research,the participants conducted an attitude questionnaire and received an oral English test.The data were faithfully collected and analyzed in SPSS 23.0.The results show that: The oral homework based on 17 zuoye platform can improve students’ oral English achievements.And students hold positive attitudes towards the English oral homework based on17 zuoye platform.According to the research results,this thesis verifies the effectiveness of 17 zuoye platform on primary school students’ oral English learning.Therefore,the author suggests that the online homework platform,17 zuoye platform,should be used in primary school students’ oral English learning to stimulate primary school students’ interest in speaking English and improve their oral English.
