A Study On The Production Of Oral Adjectives Of The Elderly

In recent years,with the increasingly serious aging phenomenon,more and more scholars pay attention to the language of the elderly.With the growth of age,the elderly’s physiology and psychology will produce a series of changes,and the corresponding change is the language ability.Language is the most important tool of human communication,and vocabulary production ability is an important indicator of language ability.Therefore,this paper uses the productive ability of oral adjectives as a measure to explore the influence of aging on the language ability of the elderly.In order to study the aging relevance of the elderly oral adjective production,this paper collects data from retired teachers of Jiangxi Normal University through interviews.In order to enhance the reliability of the study,we not only collected data for the elderly of different ages,but also collected data for some of the same batch of elderly people twice every five years.In addition,the collected corpus is transcribed into text,the relevant data is input into the computer,and the excel and other software are used for calculation and statistics.Finally,the data and statistical charts are combined to draw a scientific conclusion.This paper consists of five chapters.The first chapter mainly introduces the statistical process of the elderly oral corpus,and analyzes the frequency of the elderly oral adjective production.The second chapter is the form and semantic analysis of the elderly oral adjective production,mainly from three aspects: type,comparison with children’s oral adjectives,age relevance.The third chapter is the age ladder analysis of the richness of adjective production of the elderly.This paper selects 50 male elderly people over 65 with different age classes as the research object,and compares the changes of adjective richness of five different age classes.This paper analyzes the relationship between the richness of oral adjectives and aging from the perspective of group.The fourth chapter analyzes the influence of individual aging on the richness of adjective production.Twenty one old people who were interviewed twice every five years were selected as the research objects.The changes of adjective richness of each old person before and after five years were compared.This paper analyzes the relationship between the richness of adjective production and aging from an individual perspective.The fifth chapter is to analyze the factors affecting the decline of adjective production ability of the elderly,and put forward the corresponding countermeasures.
