The Research On Disaster Reportage Since The New Period

Disaster reportage is an important component of reportage since the new period,as well as a major part of Chinese disaster literature.Disaster reportage not only truly records the disaster events occurred in China after the founding of the New China,to a certain extent,but also focuses on life,human nature and other subjects,and reflects on the disasters,which has certain realistic significance as well as ideological and artistic value.Therefore,it is worth studying.Through wide reading of related works and academic studies,this thesis tries to look through the history of the disaster reportage since the new period,analyze its spiritual connotation,explore its narrative strategy,and summarize its value and shortcoming.The chapters of this thesis are arranged as follows:Chapter one: Overview of disaster reportage since the new period.The first section defines and explains the notions involved in the thesis,such as disaster,disaster reportage and new period;The second section mainly combs the context of the occurrence and development of disaster reportage since the new period.Chapter two: Spiritual connotation of disaster reportage since the new period.Through the writing of typical characters,disaster reportage promotes great heroic spirit and national spirit;Through the examination and reflection of disaster events,it reveals deep suffering consciousness and reflective awareness;Through the care and concern for individual life,it conveys bright consciousness of life.Chapter three: Narrative strategy of disaster reportage since the new period.In the narrative perspective,it integrates omniscient perspective,limited perspective,and converted perspective;In terms of narrative structure,it flexibly uses linear structure and non-linear structure;In the aspect of narrative types,“great narrative” and “small narrative”complement each other.Chapter four: The value and deficiency of disaster reportage since the new period.On the one side,disaster reportage since the new period has important value of literature,history,news,society,and politics.On the other side,disaster reportage since the new period also has some problems,such as lack of depth,absence of literariness,similar themes and techniques in creation process.
