| Numerals are one of the most important parts of language and cannot be missed.It carries the task of communication for the development of the human world,and conveys the mind map of the national society.Early humans used fingers and toes to count numbers,but they could not express beyond the body part,so numerals came into being.Numerals originated from counting in ancient times,and then used for calculations with the passage of time,and gradually assumed the role of induction.Today’s society even occupies a pivotal position in mathematics,finance and other categories.At the same time,numerals have also been used in many fields such as religion,divination,philosophy,poetry,politics,etc.in the long history of historical development,and have formed their own unique connotations.Refers to rich cultural connotations such as "the year is twenty-eight",and the feelings are "perfect".The Chinese and French people rarely communicate in the development process.Not only Chinese and French belong to different language families,but the Chinese and French cultures are also subordinate to different cultural systems.This paper studies the typological characteristics of Chinese-French numerals through the comparison of Chinese-French numeral representation,word meaning,cultural origin,and emotional color.It is hoped that while understanding the different national cultures reflected by the Chinese and French numerals,it can also enhance the communication between China and France,and promote the development of translation,education and other fields.This topic uses the following five parts to make a comparative analysis of the Chinese-French numeral culture,and explore its cultural similarities and differences as well as the causes: the introduction introduces the basis for the topic selection,the research status at home and abroad,and the research methods used in this article.The second chapter explains the definition of numerals and compares the similarities and differences in the composition and expression habits of Chinese and French numerals.The third chapter,as the main part of the article,explores the numerals 1 to 10 from the perspectives of the meaning of Chinese numerals,cultural traceability,related idioms of numerals,people’s emotional attitudes and the use of numerals in daily life.The cultural connotation of numerals.The fourth chapter analyzes the interaction between the social development of the Chinese and French nationalities and the numeral vocabulary,that is,the social causes that influence the cultural connotation of Chinese and French numerals and the meaning of contrasting Chinese and French numeral vocabulary.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the research results of this thesis.Through the research of this topic,it can promote the comparative analysis of Chinese and French numeral culture,strengthen the communication between Chinese and French people,promote the development of education and translation,and reduce cultural conflicts. |
