Zhuang Zi, an important book before Qin dynasty, is the representatives of Taoist thinking. Its language reflects the outlook of the ancient Chinese at the end of the Warring States in particular to the early Han Dynasty Chinese fundamental. Proper nouns generated in people's daily needs, is the comprehensive embodiment of thinking, cultural, aesthetic values, and other aspects. The terminology research about Zhuang Zi is not only conducive to a more detailed Pre-Qin Chinese analysis to the total before Qin dynasty, but also language studies and the history of Chinese vocabulary longitudinal study. At the same time, it can be involved in philosophy, sociology, culture, aesthetics, folklore, and other relevant areas of multidisciplinary research.This paper analyses Zhuang Zi terminology on the base of Zhuang Zi Set Release published in 1982, when their predecessors-use research results. The full text is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction. Firstly, it introduces the current research situation of Zhuang Zi, including the previous version circulated merits, the current research situation of vocabulary in Zhuang Zi, the current research situation of the Pre-Qin books. Secondly, it introduces the significance of the study of the proper nouns in Zhuang Zi. Thirdly, it defines the proper noun from the grammatical and meaning. Finally, it introduces the research methods, statistical principles and Material origin of Proper nouns in Zhuang Zi.The second part is the first chapter. It is analyzed on the three sources: the object referred to, the structure of culture and the origin. According to the meaning of different objects, Zhuang Zi terminology can be divided into people category, social category and natural category. The structure of culture analyzes the people category and geographical type. From the origin it can be divided into four groups: ancient myths, historical records, the fictional creation and the unavailable origin. In the origin category, fiction category is the prominent feature of Zhuang Zi. It analyzes this chapter from the fiction classification terminology and the voice structure of the meaning of the fictitious further. The third part is the second chapter. It analyzes the structure from syllable composition and grammatical structure. The two syllable form is the main, followed by three syllable, mono syllable, four syllable and multi syllable. According to grammatical, proper nouns are divided into two Monomorphemic words and compound words structure, with compound word as the main part. The majority of compound word is the pianzheng word, followed by the fixed-bin word, the paralleled word and the subject-predicate word.The fourth part is the third chapter. It compares people's names mainly on Meng Zi and Zhuang Zi. This part is analyzed from commonly used character's name and the rhetoric characteristic of the fictional people's name. The later is the prominent characteristic of Zhuang Zi.The fifth part is the fourth chapter. The former parts reflect the social and cultural content, including philosophy, values, aesthetics and ideology and national psychological way of thinking.
