Study On Respestful Words And Phrases Of Guiyuan Bigeng Collection

Guiyuan Bigeng Collection is a personal collection compiled by Cui Zhiyuan,a Xinluo scholar at the end of Tang Dynasty.It is written in parallel style.The official documents and private letters in the collection are of great linguistic value,but there is no systematic linguistic research result in this collection.This paper,taking the respectful words and phrases as the research topic,explores the use of single-tone respectful morpheme and double-tone respectful words and phrases in the same semantic system,summarizes the high-frequency morphemes of words combined with honorary morphemes,and from phonetics,semantics,syntax,pragmatics and rhetoric angles,comprehensively summarized the characteristics of respectful words and phrases,draw the outline of the general picture of the respectful words and phrases in this corpus.The specific content is as follows:The first part of this article is the introduction,which sums up the origin of the topic,research status,research objects,research content,research methods,significance and innovations of the article,and explains related issues.The first chapter is the name,definition and classification of Guiyuan Bigeng Collection.On the basis of combing and summarizing the existing research results in the academic circle,the polite expression in this article is named " respectful words and phrases";while dividing the boundary with other polite terms,the definition of respectful words and phrases is explained;from the semantic point of view,the implication of respectful words and phrases is divided into four categories: "respect and petition" "bestow and give" "exalted and noble" and "gorgeous and elegant",and the principles of defining respectful words and phrases are proposed from the aspects of pragmatics,word formation,rhetorical antithesis and context.From the second to the fifth chapter respectively expound the examples and features of the four types of respectful words and phrases.Each chapter is divided into two sections: the first section analyzes and describes the semantics with the single-tone respectful morpheme as the minimum unit,and summarizes the usage of respectful words and phrases on the basis of examples.The second section focuses on summarizing the characteristics from the synchronic level,comparing and analyzing the internal relations and subtle differences between single-tone respectful morpheme and double-tone respectful words and phrases in the same semantic field.From the lexical system,this paper discusses the semantic meaning,frequency,current situation of word collection,semantic structure,part of speech composition,structure types,combination and collocation of respectful words and phrases.The sixth chapter is a all-around summary of the trait of the respectful words and phrases of Guiyuan Bigeng Collection from the perspectives of phonology,semantics,grammar,pragmatics and rhetoric;and briefly describe the basis provided by Guiyuan Bigeng Collection for the codification and revision of The Great Chinese Dictionary from the perspectives of collection,interpretation and examples.The conclusion is the last part of the article: sort out the work done,outline the topics extended and shortcomings of this paper.
