Aggressive behavior is a kind of behavior tendency and pattern that intentionally causes harm to other people’s body and psychology. It will lead to cognitive dysfunction, poor academic performance, anxiety and depression, and bring many negative effects on the body and psychology in the process of individual growth and development. In view of this, adolescents’ aggressive behavior needs to be paid attention to,and the occurrence mechanism of aggressive behavior needs to be deeply discussed,so as to provide empirical basis for the prevention of adolescents’ aggressive behavior and post intervention. This study explores the mechanism of aggressive behavior at the individual level and school level: self-esteem is the protective factor of individual development, affective self-regulatory efficacy significantly affects the individual’s social psychological adaptation, which can effectively prevent aggression, crime and depression;School is the place where aggressive behavior occurs frequently,so it is particularly important for schools to prevent and deal with this behavior.Based on this, this study explored the influence mechanism of adolescent’s self-esteem on aggressive behavior through two studies.Study 1,591 students were used to investigate the influence of adolescent’s self-esteem on aggressive behavior, and to test the mediating role of affective self-regulatory efficacy and the regulating role of sense of school community.Study 2,taking 63 students as the research object, using Implicit Association Test(IAT)is to explore the existence of implicit self-esteem and implicit aggression. At the same time, the relationship between self-esteem and aggressive behavior at the two levels of explicit and implicit, and the relationship between them and affective self-regulatory efficacy and sense of school community were further revealed. The results are as follows:(1)There are significant differences in self-esteem of adolescents in gender and grade; There are significant differences in the sense of school community between grades and student cadres; There are gender differences in affective self-regulatory efficacy.(2)Self-esteem of adolescents has a significant positive predictive effect on affective selfregulatory efficacy and a significant negative predictive effect on aggressive behavior.Affective self-regulatory efficacy has a significant negative predictive effect on aggressive behavior.Affective self-regulatory efficacy plays a partial mediating role between self-esteem and aggressive behavior of adolescent.(3)In the mediating model, sense of school community plays a moderating role between self-esteem and affective self-regulatory efficacy, which is a moderating mediating model.(4)It verifies the existence of implicit self-esteem and implicit aggression, and there is a significant correlation between them. The explicit self-esteem and aggressive behavior and implicit self-esteem and implicit aggression are two independent systems, and the relationship of them is not significant.Implicit self-esteem has a significant negative predictive effect on aggressive behavior.(5)There was no significant correlation between implicit self-esteem and affective selfregulatory efficacy, sense of school community. This study verified the influence of adolescent’s self-esteem on aggressive behavior, and further revealed the relationship of them from explicit and implicit levels. The results enrich the literature on self-esteem and aggressive behavior, and have positive implications for school mental health education.
