| Bai Xianyong is obsessed with the beauty of Kunqu Opera.His own literary writing is nourished by Kunqu Opera and has a unique artistic charm.He has long been dedicated to the research and promotion of Kunqu Opera.This thesis mainly studies the interactive relationship between Bai’s research on Kunqu Opera and his own literary composition,and holds that Bai’s obsession with Kunqu Opera and his literary creation influence each other to some extent,shaping his aesthetic pursuit and literary ideal together.The thesis consists of three chapters,respectively exploring Bai’s literary love,literary writing and literary ideal relating with Kunqu Opera.The first chapter mainly discusses the influence of Bai’s complicated life experience and the blending between Eastern and Western cultures on his Kunqu cultural experience.The second chapter elaborates that how the art of Kunqu Opera permeates Bai’s novels,essays and adapted plays,endowing literary works with multiple spiritual and profound cultural connotations.Analyzing the status of Kunqu Opera in Bai’s different literary forms helps us to explore Bai’s writing mentality and the changes of his thoughts on the revival of Kunqu Opera.The third chapter discusses the internal influence and the significance of The Times of Kunqu Opera on Bai’s literary ideal,and believes that Kunqu Opera symbolizes an important carrier of the writer’s nostalgia in the process of his literary creation.Launching the "Renaissance of Kunqu Opera" in the new era is his powerful way to rebuild the homeland of national culture.The study on the interaction between Bai’s literature and Kunqu Opera reveals the traditional culture’s spiritual support for writers,and shows that writers can innovate and inherit traditional culture through creative practice.This virtuous cycle not only makes writers’ works present their own characteristics,but also opens up an effective way to inherit traditional culture in the new era. |
