| In the process of globalization,English is more and more important.English has become an indispensable part of people’s life.However,due to many factors such as the lack of complete family education,good learning habits and appropriate study atmosphere,English weariness is more common in rural junior high schools.I had the honor to work as a junior high school English teacher in rural Q middle school.In the long-term educational practice,I deeply feel the change of rural junior high school left-behind students’ attitude towards English.From the beginning of many students’ interest in learning English to their weariness of learning English finally,what caused the change of two extreme attitudes,which led to thinking and became the topic of this paper.In order to obtain the current situation of the English weariness of the left-behind students in Q middle school and find out the reasons of the English weariness of the left-behind students in rural junior middle schools,a questionnaire was sent out to 438 students in Q middle school,335 valid questionnaires were used and 6 students were interviewed.What’s more,the survey results and interview data were sorted out and analyzed.It was found that there were significant differences in the English weariness of the rural junior middle school students in grade and gender.The reasons for the students’ weariness can be roughly divided into three aspects: the lack of values,the weak facilities of school software and hardware,and the negative impact of the environment.Finally,after the classification and cause analysis of the rural junior high school students’ English weariness,I combined the previous research theories and results with my own teaching experience,this paper puts forward the countermeasures to correct the rural junior high school students’ English weariness from the four dimensions of family,school,teachers and students:(1)in terms of family,parents should keep a good relationship with their children.Through the use of scientific educational methods,we can objectively view the growth of children and create a harmonious family environment for them;(2)In terms of schools,we should improve the software and hardware measures of rural schools,and improve the growth portfolios of left-behind students.;(3)in terms of teachers,English teachers should participate actively in teacher training,and strengthen their own construction;(4)in terms of students,students should give full play to their main role,understand themselves correctly,maintain an optimistic attitude,motivate their learning will,set up great ideals,attribute the reasons correctly and improve their learning ability.Only through the joint efforts of these four aspects can we stimulate the left-behind students’ interest in English learning. |
