On The Poems Of Nanning And Chongzuo By Vietnamese Envoys In Yuan,Ming And Qing Dynasties

In 2010,Fudan University Press published a collection of Vietnamese Chinese Yanxing documents,which included poems written by Vietnamese envoys in yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties when they paid tribute to China.Among them,the envoys wrote 677 poems when they passed through the scenic Nanning and Chongzuo in Guangxi,including257 poems in Nanning and 420 poems in Chongzuo.Most of these poems were written in the Qing Dynasty,recording the natural landscape,cultural landscape and military fortress of Nanning and Chongzuo at that time,which played an important role in supplementing historical data for the study of the two local chronicles and had historical value.The poem also records the environment and climate,people’s livelihood,customs and language of the two places in detail,outlines a complete and vivid social picture,and restores the social style at that time.The envoys also exchanged with local officials,literati and the people of the two countries,and wrote many poems in response to the peace,reflecting the friendly exchanges between the two peoples.Most of the envoys came from the imperial examination,with high literary quality and beautiful writing style.They adopted five character,seven character and miscellaneous character poetry styles,and used metaphor,personification,application,allusion and other rhetorical devices,which reflected the envoys’ familiarity with Chinese culture and high level of Sinology writing,and also had certain literary value.The envoys’ Nanning and Chongzuo poems are of great value and significance,which shows that Chinese culture has played an indelible role in the establishment of Vietnamese culture in the long process of historical development.First of all,it reflects the diplomatic situation of Chinese and Vietnamese poetry.Second,it reflects that Vietnam is deeply influenced by Chinese culture,such as respecting Confucius and advocating filial piety in Confucianism.It also skillfully uses the Chinese Ganzhi notation and the 24 solar terms to record time and season.These cultural characteristics generally exist in the whole anthology,reflecting the Vietnamese literati’s high recognition of Chinese culture,and also reflecting the Chinese culture This paper analyzes the same root and homology of Chinese and Vietnamese culture.The poem also records the places of interest,folklore and folk life at that time,which provides valuable literature for later generations to study the scenery of the places of interest,folk culture and way of life at that time.Poetry is also helpful to the future development of Nanning and Chongzuo,which not only enriches the historical connotation of the two places,but also helps to build tourism business cards based on the history and culture of China and Vietnam,and attract more tourists to visit.In modern society,the enrichment of history and culture is conducive to promoting the cooperation and development between China and Vietnam and realizing the common progress of the two countries.
