"Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio" can be called the pinnacle of "short stories" and has a profound influence in the history of literature.The story of the fox ghost and the flower demon has influenced countless writers,and Mo Yan is no exception.Mo Yan grew up in the atmosphere of "talking about ghosts and foxes".Like Pu Songling,he has been influenced and infected by Qi culture,and he is fascinated by the creation of mysterious and supernatural stories.Looking back at Mo Yan’s creative process,we can clearly see Pu Songling’s influence and inspiration on his creation.Mo Yan’s novels are rooted in folk culture,combining childhood ghost and fox stories with Western Hallucinatory realism,and perfectly blending Chinese myths and legends.Folk traditional culture and Western modernism have built his own literary kingdom "Gaomi Northeast Township",Mo Yan became the same "storyteller" as Pu Songling in inheriting and learning.This thesis is based on Mo Yan’s short and long novels,and Looking for the reference of Mo Yan to Pu Songling’s "Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio".It is divided into three parts:introduction,main body and conclusion.The introduction and conclusion summarize the full text.The main chapter analyzes the writer’s location,life experience and other external factors,and combined with the specific text to research,draws the connection between Mo Yan and Pu Songling.This thesis is mainly discussed in four chapters:The first chapter explores the relationship between Mo Yan and Pu Songling,mainly from the three aspects of geography,folklore,and spiritual pursuit,as an argument for the connection between the two.The second chapter is based on the text of "Strange Stories from a Lonely Studio",looking for the "Liao Zhai factors" embodied in Mo Yan’s novels from the main aspects of the novel’s plot and characters,and analyzes the ghost stories that appear in the story of the two people.presents the connection between Mo Yan and "Strange Tales from a Lonely Studio".The third chapter further analyzes the commonality of the two creative characteristics from the characteristics of animals and language,takes "the theory of all things animism" as the breakthrough point,analyzes the relationship and inner meaning of the animals,Analyze the similarity from the poetry of language and the application of dialects and idioms.The fourth Chapter proposes the definition of Mo Yan’s "New Liao Zhai Novel",thinking that Mo Yan’s "New Liao Zhai Novel" not only inherits Pu Songling but also has his own new attempt,and analyzes the application of Hallucinatory realism and sharp irony.
