The author of Strange Tales of a Lonely Studio was Pu Songling, he said that he was interested in unearthliness, in others, he imitated Sou Shen Ji. Strange Tales of a Lonely Studio and Sou Shen Ji are the great masterpieces of ancient Chinese classic weird fictions. Strange Tales of a Lonely Studio produced in the early Qing Dynasty, and Sou Shen Ji appeared in the Wei-Jin period, both at the time away from the old, but came out a similar theme; Based on the above two reasons, this paper conducted a comparative study between the two works, in order to know which is more profound, and in order to know the two books'value and precise position in literary history.This article is divided into six sections:For the first part of preface, the first part focuses on the comparability between Strange Tales of a Lonely Studio and Sou Shen Ji. This section primarily rehearsed by Pu Songling, the development of literary history and works of itself to prove their comparative study of both is valuable. Next, turns to the current Strange Tales of a Lonely Studio and Sou Shen Ji in the academic research of the thesis so as to lay a foundation for writing. Once again illustrates the main innovative points and the difficulties in the process of thesis writing.The second part of this thesis, mainly from the perspective of the author to analyze the differences and the reasons to provide it between Strange Tales of a Lonely Studio and Sou Shen Ji. In this section, three reasons are discussed. Wei-Jin Dynasties is an open and conscious of the time, people were more open-minded to the view of life and death, showed two things: Value of life, ease of death; to the Qing Dynasty, there was a major change in the concept of people 's life and death. The mainstream of thought at the time is that the best happy is life, the sorest evil is deeper than death. These views can be seen everywhere, and in the fear of death, a strong desire to survive, come back from the dead the illusion of increased terrorist describes an increase in the nether world, people admire the phenomenon of ghost five aspects.
