The level of academic paper writing is related to whether the communicative purpose of academic paper can be fully achieved.Introduction is the opening part of an academic paper,which plays an important communicative role in the paper,and the structure of introduction has the characteristics of conventionalization.Student-researchers need systematic guidance and help when writing introduction to Chinese academic papers.How to improve students’ writing ability of Chinese academic paper introduction is a subject worthy of further consideration.However,up to now,there are few research achievements related to the introduction writing of Chinese academic papers,and most of the existing research objects are English academic papers or abstracts in the papers.Taking the introduction part of Chinese academic papers as the research object,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the introduction part of Chinese academic papers of student-researchers and expert-researchers(in the field of TCSOL).The analysis is mainly based on the frame of introduction steps and the frame words of position markers,and through the statistics and comparison of the types,distribution and language features within the step,the understanding of the macro structure of the introduction of two types of academic papers and the distribution features of position markers within the step is formed.The findings are as follows: First,from the point of view of the number of papers containing three steps in their entirety,the proportion of introductions of expert papers containing three steps in their entirety is higher,which reflects the better structural integrity of introductions of expert papers.Students and researchers should pay more attention to the integrity of the three steps in the writing of the introduction.Secondly,some key steps,such as “M1-S2 review existing research” and “M2-S1 B point out gaps”,are not paid enough attention to by students and researchers in writing.Thirdly,in terms of language use,the language expression of the introduction of the expert paper has better accuracy and scientific nature.However,when student-researchers write the introduction,their language use is a little less mature,and they should pay special attention to whether the logic in context is reasonable and accurate.Fourthly,from the point of view of hedges,the frequency of the degree and the words referred to in the table is less than that of expert quotes in the students’ step 2.This is because the student-researchers do not fully understand the quotation step 2,and it is difficult to “inherit the previous research results”,“point out the gaps” or “raise questions” on the basis of the quotation step 1.At the same time,this difference is mutually confirmed with the research findings in the third chapter.Due to the limitation of corpus and other factors,there are still some shortcomings in this study,and the author will continue to improve it.On the basis of the existing research,this study investigates and analyzes the structural characteristics of the introduction and the usage characteristics of the position markers within each step,in order to deepen the understanding of students and researchers on the introduction writing of Chinese academic papers.
