A Literature Study Of Dongpo Zen Xi Collection

Su Shi’s life has an indisputable relationship with Buddhism and Zen,and there are a large number of works related to Buddhism and Zen in his poetry and prose creation.Later generations who are interested in both Su Shi and Buddhism found this situation,and compiled Su Shi’s works about Buddhism and Zen into a book entitled Dongpo Zen xi Collection.At present,there are three types of Dongpo Zen xi Collection: Xu Changru’s version,Ling Mengchu’s original version and Liu Renhang’s original version.This paper studies these three types of Dongpo Zen xi Collection.The full text is divided into four parts.The first part tells the causes and causes of Su Shi’s life and Buddhism,as well as the aggregation of Buddhism and Buddhism works of Su Shi in later generations.The second part studies Xu Chang-ru’s Dongpo Zen xi Collection,and probes into the process of its compilation and the authenticity of its contents.The third part studies the process of forming Ling Mengchu’s first edition of Dongpo Zen xi Collection and the updating of Xu Changru’s edition.The fourth part introduces the basic situation of Liu Renhang’s Dongpo Zen xi Collection.Through the study of this paper,we can have a general and comprehensive understanding of the various types of Dongpo Zen xi Collection.
