Vocabulary is the basic element of language.Vocabulary learning plays a pivotal role in language learning,especially in the process of foreign language learning.Vocabulary learning is an important content of English learning,which can directly affect the effect of English learning.The junior high school stage is a critical period for students to learn English knowledge and skills,form good language learning habits,and cultivate English language sense.It can be seen that strengthening the guidance of junior high school students’English vocabulary learning and innovating vocabulary teaching strategies is one of the ways to improve students’English level and teaching efficiency.Thus,based on the theory of processing levels,constructivist learning theory and learning strategy theory.According to questionnaire collection and data analysis of 90junior high school students’vocabulary learning concepts and vocabulary strategies in the certain middle school of Yan’an New District.Conducted questionnaires and interviews with four English teachers on vocabulary teaching strategies,and used SPSS to conduct statistics and related analysis on the data of students’English vocabulary learning strategies and teachers’vocabulary teaching strategies,aiming to understand the attitudes and attitudes of junior high school students towards vocabulary learning and the usage of different vocabulary learning strategies and the current situation of teachers’usage of different vocabulary teaching strategies in order to improve the level of junior high school English vocabulary teaching.The results show that students’vocabulary learning methods are single and their learning effect is poor.There are some deficiencies in English vocabulary teaching,such as teachers’lack of understanding of vocabulary teaching strategies and monotonous vocabulary teaching methods.Teachers’mandatory requirements and students’mechanical recitation have become the main methods of students’English vocabulary learning.The data show that there is a positive relationship between teachers’vocabulary teaching methods and students’vocabulary learning strategies.The results show that the students’interest in vocabulary learning is low,the study method of the single,flexible word memory effect is poor,cannot use the word problems.Lies in the Yan’an New District the certain middle school of four junior high school English teacher interviews,we also found that part of them lack of the understanding of vocabulary teaching strategies,teachers don’t pay attention to vocabulary teaching,teaching methods,monotonous,etc.Teacher’s mandatory requirements and students’mechanical recitation have become the main methods of students’English vocabulary learning.Research data shows that there is a positive relationship between teachers’vocabulary teaching strategies and students’vocabulary learning strategies.Therefore,this study puts forward several specific measures for teachers’ability to use vocabulary teaching strategies and students’awareness of vocabulary learning strategies.If you really want to master English vocabulary,and find a suitable learning method,at the same time,the teacher’s teaching concept also needs to be corrected,from the compulsory teaching method to the knowledge transmitter and strategy director,improve students’vocabulary learning level,and then promote the improvement of junior high school students’English literacy(Li Yang,2016)[4]. |
