| Different social classes mean different social resource composition and role division.Specifically in the field of moral psychologies, people have different moral expectations for people of high and low social classes. This study explores the characteristics of college students’ moral judgments of actors of different social classes.Theoretically,we should expand the research field of class signal and enrich the theoretical model of class moral psychology. In reality, remind people to strengthen the role of moral construction, ease social contradictions. After sorting out relevant researches,we find that there are two problems as follows: First, previous researches mainly select income, occupation and education to classify social classes, while ignoring other signals representing social classes that are more common in daily life.Secondly, studies on the influencing factors of moral judgment of social class usually start from individual factors. As one of them, there are few studies on whether the perception of scarcity of individual resources also has an impact.Based on the above problems,in Experiment 1,this study firstly applied the car as a social class signal to study the moral judgment of different social classes. On this basis, the resource status of the judge was introduced, and the influence of money and social resource scarcity perception on moral judgment of different social class actors was explored through experiments 2~3.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:(1)Social class signals(cars)can effectively activate individuals’ perception of different social classes, which can be applied to subsequent studies.(2)There are differences in moral judgment of college students to actors of different social classes.Specifically, compared with the low social class actors, college students’ moral judgments to the high social class actors are more stringent.(3)The college students who initiated the feeling of scarcity of money resources made more strict judgments on the moral behavior of high social class actors, and relatively tolerant judgments on the moral behavior of low social class actors. There was no significant difference in the moral judgments of the high and low social class actors among the college students who did not initiate the feeling of scarcity of money resources.(4)College students with a high sense of social resource scarcity have a stricter moral judgment on high social class actors, and a more tolerant moral judgment on low social class actors.College students with low sense of social resource scarcity have the same moral judgment to high and low social class actors.(5)Moral judgment has social class effect.By contrast, high social class actors are at a "moral disadvantage",while low social class actors are at a "moral advantage". |
