| Qin Wenjun is a writer who consciously thinks about gender issues.The gender concept presented in her works plays an important role in the gender study of Chinese children’s literature.The gender culture and gender consciousness embodied in the children portrayed in Qin Wenjun’s works will have a subtle effect on child readers in reality.This will affect the formation of their gender concepts and the positioning of their social gender roles.Because Qin Wenjun’s creation has broken through the field of children’s literature,the research object of this article is not limited to children’s literature,but also includes a small part of youth literature.On the basis of careful reading of the text,this article interprets Qin Wenjun’s novels from the perspective of gender.The thesis mainly expands the discussion from the following three parts:The first part explores Qin Wenjun’s gender concept and creative tendency.Qin Wenjun has clearly expressed her gender concept in many interviews or creative talks.She hopes that boys and girls can follow their gender characteristics in reality.In other words,she prefers that boys should grow up to be "little men",while girls have the temperament of "little ladies",with distinct differences between the two sexes and maintaining their own gender advantages.However,Qin Wenjun’s gender concept often reveals a complicated side.She clearly shows a tendency to correct gender based on the traditional gender role division.This tendency is proposed by her under the premise of expecting the healthy development of children’s gender.On the one hand,at the same time,she expresses an open and tolerant attitude towards gender roles and gender temperament in her works,giving children more relaxed growth space.In short,Qin Wenjun’s gender concept has influenced her creative tendency of children’s literature.The second part explores the gender awakening in the interaction between the sexes.Qin Wenjun’s gender concept has an open and tolerant side,which allows her to break through the creative tendency of deliberately highlighting gender differences.Therefore,the boys and girls in the novel are observers,speakers,and thinkers.They are not simply the relationship between the subject and the object,but the relationship between the subject and the subject.This relationship shows the awakening and growth of children’s gender.They formed the inter-subjective relationship in gender identity and mutual examination,and realized the vague gender consciousness awakening in the inter-subjective relationship.Furthermore,Qin Wenjun mentioned gender "antagonism" many times in interviews or articles.The gender "antagonism" she emphasized is not the mutual hostility between men and women,nor the irreversible binary opposition of gender,but the normal competition between the sexes.Competition and interaction are the inevitable exchanges between the sexes in the growth process.It is in this interactive relationship that children begin the construction of gender consciousness.The third part explores the gender construction in the growth of girls.As a well-known children’s literature writer,Qin Wenjun has broken through the age limit of children in her creations,and has set her sights on young girls who are gradually growing up.Although Qin Wenjun pays attention to the interactive growth of boys and girls on campus,she also pays more attention to the growth of girls in the same period.Reflected in the novel,she tends to model the girl in the context of real difficulties and complicated growth.The girl in her novels does not show weakness or withdraw in the face of family changes,life difficulties,and social injustice,but grows strong in growth.,Bravery,self-confidence and other valuable spiritual qualities.At the same time,young girls have established women’s self-awareness in the "mirror behavior" and completed their gender identity under the active guidance of same-sex friends and the opposite sex. |
