Great strides have been made in the development of computer science and technologies, big data and artificial intelligence, which have transformed the language service industry in the meantime.A trend is taking shape that the mode integrating Computer Aided Translation,Machine Translation and Post-editing(CAT+MT+PE mode)is becoming prevalent in the translation projects of legal texts, contracts, patents, handbooks, and sci-tech literature, which not only boosts the efficiency of,but also improves the output quality for language service providers, translators and post-editors.This report illustrates a translation project based on CAT+MT+PE mode. The source text of this project is an excerpt from the 10-K 2020 Annual Report of Morgan Stanley.By analyzing the MT and PE outputs of the project, this report further presents a study on the most common MT error types identified in the project and puts forward corresponding PE strategies.According to the findings of the study, the top five most common types of error in MT output of the project are: mistranslation of terminologies, inappropriate order of words, mistranslation of participial phrases, mistranslation of passive voice and lack of coherence.Corresponding PE strategies are proposed as follows: professional background knowledge,Corpus, translation memory and term bases for terminology mistranslation;information sequencing for inappropriate order of words;grammatical analysis and interpretive translation for the mistranslation of participial phrases;avoiding the explicit passiveness for the mistranslation of passive voice and making implicit logical information explicit for the lack of coherence.
