Ganlu Temple,also known as Changsu Temple,is located in Xinhua Town,Linhe District,Bayannaoer City,Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.It is the largest Pure Land of Buddhism in western Inner Mongolia.Considering the scale of the temple,the status of the ceremonies and the integrated preservation of sound,Ganlu Temple is the most representative one of Han Dynasty among the existin g temples in Bayannaoer City.So far,there are few case studies and researches on the sound of Buddhist rituals as well as the Pure Land of Buddhism.The thesis consists of seven parts.The first is the introduction,The second is the general situation of the Ganlu Temple.The third is an observation related to the rite of the pure land specifically about the recitation ceremony,the Buddha bathing festival and the ritual sound of the Bon ceremony.The forth is the Sanskrit sound of the pure land with the characteristic analysis of the ritual sound of the Ganlu Temple.The fifth is the Dharma of the pure land with an explanation of culture and function of the ritual sound of Ganlu Temple.The sixth is the protection and inheritance of Ganlu Temple’s’ Buddh ist ritual sound,and the last one is the conclusion.The main question of the research is what are the main characteristics of the sound considering the Ganlu Temple ceremony? What are the cultural attributes and functions of its sound?How to protect and inherit the ritual sound? This article categorizes the Buddhist rituals of Ganlu Temple according to the functions of the Buddhist rituals,including the practice,the Puji,the celebration and commemory and so on.The anthor tends to record the most representative recitation rituals such as bathing Buddha festival to reveal the whole picture of Buddhist activities in the temple.Five methods are mainly used to guide the research and writing of the thesis,which includes the documentary,music morphologica l analysis,the interviewing,the "dual perspective" research and the field survey.Basing on 13 systematic and detailed field investigations,the thesis meticulously records and describes the overall procedures of the Ganlu Temple ceremony and analyzes the basic characteristics of the sound and explains the relationship between rite and sound so as to recognize the cultural attributes and functions of the sound and give some suggestions on the protection and inheritance of the ritual sound of the Ganlu Temple.Through the analysis of the rite and sound of Ganlu Temple,it can be seen that the sound characteristics of the temple have the following points: diverse musical structure,graceful melody,symmetrical and steady rhythm,narrow range and unfixed hei ght adjustment.The cultural attributes of sound can be summarized as sacredness,inheritance and religion,and the functions of sound are also relatively rich.Nowadays,as an important part of traditional Chineses music culture,Buddhist music has tenaci ous vitality and continuity.It is a "living fossil" still active in the environment of traditional Chinese music culture,and it is also a precious heritage of human culture.Therefore,in the end,while there are problems with the protection and inheritance of the sounds of the Ganlu Temple,the author sincerely puts forward her suggestions on it? and hopes that more people can give their attentions on the protection and inheritance of the sounds of Buddhist rituals.In this way,these visible and invisib le human resources related to the Pure land can be better disseminated and passed on.By integrate integrating with the external humanistic environment,these culture carriers are able to serve as a bridge of communication. |
