Preliminary Study On Bronze Smelting And Casting Industry Of Upper Culture In Xiajiadian

The earliest pottery model of Hongshan culture period was found in western Liaoning,which created a precedent for the production of local bronze.The Lower Xiajiadian culture has also discovered several bronze pottery models and smelting sites.he discovery of the site of Linxi County,Inner Mongolia Dajing ancient copper mine has greatly promoted the development of bronze smelting and casting industry in the Bronze Age in western Liaoning.The ancient copper mine in Dajing was the earliest and the largest mining site in northern China.With the discovery of smelting and casting tools,the possibility of making bronzes in this area was further established.Therefore,this paper collects the materials,tools,smelting and casting tools of upper bronze in Upper Xiajiadian culture,and makes a preliminary study on the basic situation of smelting and casting of bronze wares in Xiajiadian period.This paper mainly uses the methods of field investigation,literature,typology analysis and comparative analysis to analyze the bronze smelting and casting industry in the upper culture of Xiajiadian.The first chapter mainly introduces the research goal and the research present situation of this article.The second chapter introduces the Upper Xiajiadian culture found in addition to the ancient copper mine sites in Dajing,there are other smelting sites,a total of 15.In the third chapter,the tools related to bronze casting found in the site introduction,and the types of stone tools are analyzed.In the fourth chapter,we analyze the results of the upper bronzes in Xiajiadian by means of scientific and technological archaeology,as well as the making techniques,pottery model and stone model.In the fifth chapter,the bronze smelting sites in western Liaoning are compared with those in Lower Xiajiadian culture of different ages in the same area,as well as the smelting and casting techniques,the bronze wares of Baijinbao culture,which is similar to the Upper Xiajiadian culture period in Nen River valley,are compared and analyzed in terms of composition and production.Finally,the relationship between Upper Xiajiadian culture and other cultures is discussed by comparing with the bronze casting in Central Plain.
