| This thesis is composed by three parts: introduction,main body,and conclusion.In the introduction,the research status,significance of and methods of Gesar Latse in the south of Amdo are summarized.The detailed these five components of this thesis are as follows:The first chapter mainly outlines the Latse culture in Tibetan local societies.It is like clothes without a neckline and a sword without a hit,if directly lens on the subject of this studies without introducing the culture of Latse in Tibetan society,which are incomplete.In order to avoids the incompletions,the chapter is intendedly set up to introduce Latse culture in Tibetan society.First,it introduces the different concepts of "Latse " by the Tibetan scholars of the past dynasties,and then elaborates on the form of the ancient society of Latse,the form of the Tsampo era,and the form of the fregmented era.It shows that the concept of Latse is changeable,and the form of Latse changes with the concept.Secondly,it separately introduces how Latse’s arrow-inserting ceremony has a fixed sequence,a distinct process and unique characteristics,and the arrow-inserting ceremony also has a rigorous order of regulations.After the arrow-inserting activity,there are horse racing,archery,singing and dancing,etc.Rich entertainment activities associated with it.Finally,Latse is classified and analyzed according to the difference between the place where the arrow is inserted,and the sacrifice of the arrow.The second chapter is a field trip to Gesar Latse in the south of Amdo.The core part of this study conducts fieldwork and investigations of Gesar Latse in Maqu,and in Luqu,Hezuo,Zhuoni and other places in the south of Amdo.Through interviews with local elders and collecting related Gesar Latse’s oral legends,as singing sang combined with "King Gesar" related documents,also analyzed the unignorable relationship between Gesar Latse and "King Gesar" literatures.Chapter Three gives a detailed introduction to the functions of Gesar Latse in the south of Amdo.Gesar is a part of Tibetan Latse culture,and its social functions are also roughly the same.It mainly discusses the functions of Latse from four aspects:inheriting folk culture,protecting the ecological environment,social harmony,religious and cultural beliefs.Conclusion summarizes my views and opinions on Gesar Latse.Through the above content,I realize that Gesar Latse is closely related to the epic "The Biography of King Gesar".Therefore,Gesar Latse is an important custom and culture of Gesar epic.There are also particular functions that cannot be ignored. |
