Research On The Motif Of "Disaster Befalling" In Fuxi Myth In The Yellow River Valley

As an important cultural hero and creation god in the Chinese nation’s mythological system,Fuxi appears frequently in many myths,and there are mature Fuxi myths in the north,northwest and southwest of China.Based on the Yellow River basin of the fu oral mythology text,the "disaster" mother called the research object,using literature research,the fu xi myth "disaster" motif of surface structure are classified and probe into its implied in the cultural connotations behind the motif,and in the process,further clear the Yellow River fu xi myth "disaster" development present situation and the overall characteristics of the motif.The article consists of three parts: introduction,main body and conclusion.The first part of the introduction mainly describes the purpose and significance of the topic,the research status of related fields,the definition of related concepts,research materials and research methods.The second part is the main body of the thesis.In the first chapter,the collection range of Fuxi’s oral myths is determined based on the mythological resources and the location of the Yellow River Basin: Tianshui,huaiyang,map of jixian and xinle,and will be in the form of table 4 to the fu xi myth of "disaster" motif is divided into "the cause of disaster","disaster forecast",classifies the types of "disaster" three parts,and based on the analysis of the current fu xi myth in the Yellow River basin of the status quo.The second chapter mainly discusses the "causes of disasters",which can be divided into four categories: contradictions between gods,punishment of human beings by gods for some reason,dereliction of duty by gods and periodic world disasters.It can be found that Fuxi myth is unavoidably blending with daily life and approaching the trend of being more in line with common sense.In addition,people integrate group norms into the motif of "the cause of disaster",so as to pass on the rules needed by group culture.The third chapter mainly analyzes the types of disaster foretelling helpers.The changes of the types of disaster foretelling helpers in the myth of Fuxi in the Yellow River Basin correspond to the historical changes of "from object worship to human worship" and "from totem worship to idol worship".The fourth chapter discusses the types of disasters in the motif of "the coming of disasters".By analyzing the geographical and climatic conditions that produce floods,land subsidence and drought in the Yellow River Basin,the conclusion is drawn that the specific description of disasters in myths is based on the historical facts of disasters experienced by human beings.The motif of "disaster coming" in fuxi myth not only records all kinds of disasters in the Yellow River valley in artistic way,but also reflects people’s collective memory of disasters.Epilogue part is mainly to this article thinking and summary,the Yellow River basin of the fu xi myth so far is that the key people in succession myth of plot structure at the same time,constantly add new cognitive experience,makes the myth of rationalization,localization,thus gets to be popularized forever,in addition,also put forward the shortage of research that is limited by space and ability,research scope is too narrow.In addition,in addition to the oral myth motif itself has obvious and explorable laws,the formation of the myth motif will also be affected by the myth communicators.The fifth chapter takes the collection of the Fuxi myth in Huaiyang County as the research object,and reflects on the cultural elite’s artificial intervention in the "disaster coming" motif of Fuxi myth.
