Modal words play an important role in daily verbal communication,which is not only an effective means of information transmission,but also an important carrier of emotional expression.China is a multi-dialect country.Guilin dialect is one of the representative dialects in Guiliu area of Southwest Mandarin,and its modal particle system has its own characteristics.This paper analyzes the corpus collected from the field investigation,describes and analyzes the modal particles in Guilin dialect in detail from the synchronic level,and tries to summarize some of their characteristics.The thesis is divided into five parts.Part Ⅰ: Introduction.This paper mainly introduces the geography,humanities and historical evolution of Guilin,the attribution of Guilin dialect,the phonological system,the research object,the research purpose and significance,the research method,the research status of modal particles,the source of corpus and the explanation of style.Part two: the general situation of modal particles in Guilin dialect.It mainly describes the definition,basic writing forms and classification of modal particles in Guilin dialect.Part Ⅲ: Description of the types of modal particles in Guilin dialect.According to the description and analysis of 28 dialect modal particles in four categories:statement,question,imperative and exclamation,the usage and mood meaning are summarized.Part Ⅳ: The use of modal particles in Guilin dialect.This paper mainly investigates the usage of two groups of modal particles in Guilin dialect,and analyzes the usage conditions and changes of mood meaning after usage.Part Ⅴ: Conclusion.Summarize the full text,summarize the main features of modal particles in Guilin dialect,and analyze the innovations and shortcomings.
