Study On The Ritual Of "Worship The Big Dipper" Of Bai Ethnic Group In Hedian Of Xiangyun

Worship the Big Dipper is a common folk ritual in traditional Chinese society.It is rooted in the belief of the Big Dipper,and widely exists in all parts of China and even Southeast Asia.although the specific forms of the worship the Big Dipper ritual are different due to geographical and ethnic differences,the theme of praying for good weather and good prosperity for the country and people is generally the same.Hedian Town,located in Xiangyun County,Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture,Yunnan Province,is a typical agricultural village,where the worship the Big Dipper in the ninth lunar month is a praying ritual.From the perspective of ethnology,this paper takes the symbolic theory and the functional theory as the guiding theory,uses the field investigation method to obtain a large number of first-hand materials,and studies the worship the Big Dipper ritual by combining with the historical document method.This paper is divided into four main parts.The first part summarizes the natural environment and the human environment,the second part introduces the change and organizational structure,the third part records the ritual process in detail,and the fourth part analyzes.The research value and significance of this paper are reflected in two aspects.First,this topic can partially supplement the study of folk rituals.Secondly,this paper hopes to use this as a starting point to understand the living conditions of villages and draw attention to similar villages from the outside world,which is of certain practical significance.
