The Influence Of Tibetan Buddhism On Tibetan Women In Maba Village,Guide County,Qinghai Province

Tibetan Buddhism originated from Indian Buddhism and was introduced into Tibetan areas around the 7th century.Since then,along with the continuous translation and interpretation of a large number of Buddhist scriptures,Tibetan Buddhism has been able to take root in Tibetan areas including Maba Village in Guide County.It integrates with the local culture,and then has a profound impact on the local people who mainly believe in Ningma and Gelu sects of Buddhism.Tibetan women in Maba Village are the backbone of their families,hard-working,kind and sincere,and never lack of love and enthusiasm.They are not only managing the family but also earning the family’s bread.They participate Buddhism with the highest frequency in their families.The survey results also show that their behaviors and ethics are highly influenced by Tibetan Buddhism,which not only standardizes their behavior,but also improves their moral quality,and plays a corresponding role in improving their personal and family happiness index,and enriching their social life.This paper is divided into six parts.The introduction part mainly expounds the research background,significance,literature review,and methods.Then,the first chapter describes the development of Tibetan Buddhism in Maba Village.Thirdly,the second chapter interprets belief forms of local Tibetan women.Fourthly,the third chapter analyzes the ethical impact of Tibetan Buddhism on the local Tibetan women by examining their religious believes and activities at both home and society levels.Fifthly,the fourth chapter analyzes the influence of Tibetan Buddhism on their ethics by describing the culture at both family and social levels.Finally,the fifth chapter discusses reasons and characteristics of the influences on the local Tibetan women.In short,this paper focuses on the influence of Tibetan Buddhism on Tibetan women in Maba Village by illustrating their religious believes,behaviors and activities.The causes of the influences are grouped into internal and external ones,which are used to provide suggestions for promoting the diversity development of local culture,establishing the socialist core values and enhancing the level of happiness in the local village.
