Reading is a key means for students to exchange ideas and obtain information.It is also the process of interaction between written text and cognitive schema,and the interaction between discourse,learners and society.In the process of English reading teaching,the improvement of students’ logical thinking,reading habits and text interpretation ability is their main learning goal.But now literal knowledge or language decoding have become the focus of many English teachers.In senior high school,the present situation of English reading teaching is not optimistic.On the whole,students are in the situation of passive acceptance of knowledge,which cannot effectively improve students’ ability of discourse analysis and reasoning.In the long run,students will lose their interest in English reading learning,and this phenomenon even makes English reading become teachers’ own task,which will make it difficult to achieve the expected teaching effect.Therefore,adopting effective reading teaching model in time can improve students’ English reading ability.According to the new curriculum standard of English,English reading teaching is a process of mutual development.It is the two-way coordination between teachers and students.In response to the deepening of teaching reform,the interactive reading model should conform to the new curriculum reform theory,which has become the focus of current research scholars.In the process of interactive model implementation,students’ background knowledge and language knowledge of text can be accumulated.The interaction between teachers and students in pre-reading stage,the interaction between students and text in while-reading and the interaction among students in post-reading stage are included in this model.In this study,schema theory,input theory and interactive hypothesis are used as the basis of the research.The author selects Class 3 and Class 4 of Dengzhou No.2 Middle School as the experimental class and control class.At the same time,English teachers from Grade One are selected as the interview subjects to further explore the effectiveness of interactive model in English reading teaching.This study focuses on the following questions: first,what’s the current situation of reading teaching in Deng Zhou No.2 Middle School? Second,compared with other teaching models,can interactive model improve students’ reading scores more efficiently in English reading class? Third,in what ways can interactive model improve students’ reading performance?Compared with the traditional bottom-up or top-down reading model,the interactive reading model is helpful to improve the English reading scores of Grade One and to help teachers improve the English reading teaching effect.It is also effective in improving students’ interest in English reading.Finally,this study aims at creating a good interactive environment for students,renewing traditional teaching concepts,designing interactive activities,guiding strategies and skills reasonably,and paying attention to students’ non-verbal factors and other aspects of effective teaching suggestions,hoping to provide an important reference for the future study of interactive reading teaching model.
